FAQ

If your athlete is NEW to Varsity Flag and does NOT have a team yet, please register them as an individual, and we will place them on a team. There is a space to request that friends be on the same team during the registration process, all of which will be honored!

If your athlete already has a team they are registering with, please select and register them directly for that team.

Varsity (ages 5-14) will be played at Hofstra University Outdoor Fields (Hempstead). These are beautiful and private facilities that provide ample parking and adequate field space. Click here for addresses and directions.

YES! Varsity Flag is a no contact league, reducing the potential for injury and increasing the potential for fun!

Our Fall 2024 Season kicks off on Sunday, September 8th, 2024!

The league fee is $224.00 per player. 

The registration fee covers a six-game regular season and playoffs.  Also included is the use of our pristine fields and facilities, a team jersey, a flag belt, flags, an interactive website and team communication app, a well-organized and responsive administration team, qualified game officials, and a lot of fun!  Please click here to register!

Our Fall 2024 registration deadline is 8/15/2024

All games are played on Sunday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.  A full season schedule will be provided to each player in advance of the season starting.

The schedule will be posted approximately 1 week prior to the start of each season. The schedule will have game times, opponents and field locations for the entire regular season. Coaches have a choice of pre-planned or weekly schedules.

This program is open to boys and girls, ages 5-14. Participants and coaches from any town (in or around Long Island, NY) are welcome to join Varsity Flag!

No experience required!

Most teams have 10-12 total players.

This is a league designed to keep friends playing together. We allow for requests, including coaches. However, requests are not guaranteed, and no refunds will be given if we cannot meet the request.

Every player receives a sublimated team jersey and a flag belt.

Coaches are parent volunteers. In order to volunteer to coach a team, please register here!

Yes!  All players / teams will make the playoffs!

Only 1st place teams will receive awards in competitive divisions.
