Player Code of Conduct

I Will...

  1. Be a good team player and support my teammates.
  2. Work hard to improve my skills.
  3. Do my best to listen and learn from my coaches.
  4. Obey the rules of the game and always work for the good of the team.
  5. Accept the decisions of the officials.
  6. Not use unfriendly language, verbally abuse, or insult any opponent, coach, or official.
  7. Not taunt or bully an opponent, coach or official.
  8. Not use physical aggression of any kind.
  9. Applaud the efforts of my teammates and opponents.
  10. Have fun!

To ensure an appropriate atmosphere for all participants, Varsity Flag has adopted a zero-tolerance policy in the enforcement of the Player’s Code of Conduct.


Disciplinary action for violations may include:

  • Verbal warning (first warning only)
  • Written warning
  • Player suspension for games(s)
  • Player suspension for the season
  • Player expulsion/ban from the league

Please Note: Physical misconduct will NOT be tolerated. If the field monitor or referee witnesses any acts of intentional tackling, elbowing, cheap shots, blocking, fighting, or any unsportsmanlike physical act, the game will be stopped and the player will be ejected from the game immediately. No appeals will be considered at the time of the infraction.
